In co-production workshops, it’s vital that all voices are heard and valued — and live illustration can help bring that ethos to life.

Drawing contributions in real time offers a way to capture complex conversations visually, without reducing people’s words to checklists or summaries. It allows nuance, emotion, and individuality to come through — which is especially important when working with lived experience or marginalised communities.

Illustration live during a workshop creates a visual map of the session, which can then be used to inform reports, funding bids, or planning documents. It’s also a great engagement tool — people often feel more seen and heard when their words are reflected back through drawing.
