One of the most common questions we get at Illuscribe is whether to go with traditional paper or digital "iPad" scribing. Both are great, but the "vibe" is different.

Traditional Live Illustration is tactile. There is something about the smell of the markers and the scale of a physical board that draws people in. It’s a focal point for the room and works best for in-person conferences where you want a physical landmark.

Digital Scribing, on the other hand, is built for the screen. The illustrator works on a tablet, and the drawing is projected onto big screens or streamed directly into a Zoom or Teams call. It’s perfect for hybrid events or tech-heavy summits where space is tight. If you need a fast digital turnaround for social media, digital is your best bet.
